Meet Pat Boyd

Representative Pat Boyd believes in the Quiet Corner. He graduated from Plainfield High and Eastern, and now is a Teacher/Administrator/Coach at Pomfret School. An Eagle Scout, he also serves his community in several ways as a Volunteer Firefighter, Justice of the Peace, Deputy Emergency Management Director, and since 2006 he has served as the Camp Director of the June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation in Ashford, which employs over 90 seasonal employees and camps thousands of kids each summer. His unique experience and skills as an Educator, Business Operator, and Emergency Manager make him a highly effective legislator in Hartford. 

Since first being elected in 2016, Pat has shown the political courage and independence needed in Hartford to make a real change which has earned him respect from both sides of the aisle. He is the established voice of Rural Connecticut, and in 2017, he stood up to the Governor to establish the most significant fiscal reforms in Connecticut's History. The Bonding Cap, Spending Cap & Volatility Cap which charted the path to get Connecticut's fiscal house in order. 

Pat Boyd is not in this for himself, and he has a proven record of bringing people to together to solve problems and to get stuff done!
